Hi! My name is Adina. I am 20 years old. My name is of Hebrew origin: עֲדִינָא, (pronounced /əˈdiːnə/) and means “delicate” or “gentle.”
I’m afraid my priors may disappoint those who subscribe to nominative determinism, but my name does convey something about the way I view the universe: as a delicate balance of interconnected abstractions. Perhaps another slightly orthogonal musing, but I like to think that the universe is an ontology of God.
That view also informs my belief that every individual has the capacity to exert meaningful influence on the world. The magnitude of that impact is determined by agency; the direction probably has something to do with one’s priors and moral commitments.
