About Me

Hi! My name is Adina. I am 21 years old. My name is of Hebrew origin: עֲדִינָא, (pronounced /əˈdiːnə/) and means “delicate” or “gentle.” I’m afraid my priors may disappoint those who subscribe to nominative determinism, but my name does convey something about the way I view the universe^[1]: as a delicate balance of interconnected abstractions.

That view also informs my belief that every individual has the capacity to exert meaningful influence on the world. I like to think that the magnitude of said impact is determined by agency; whilst the direction probably has something to do with one’s priors and moral commitments.

My world-facing self is also likely a product of my priors and the friends I surround myself with.

Priors

2026–present
- Currently working on agents and helping build automations for awesome people. We hope to help imbue good human judgement into the data that shapes machine intelligence.
- Operated with a very talented team toward a mission of giving people data agency. Learned that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with people with high standards of creative excellence and resolve to build good for the world.
2023–2025
- Studied Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley with a cluster concentration toward Economics. Also enjoyed dabbling in Psychology classes!
- Explored the world of Wall Street, fell in love with understanding the levers that made a business great.

2005-2023
- Trained as a classical concert pianist, won international competitions and played in Carnegie Hall twice.
- Attempted multiple times to harvest energy from sound via piezoelectric effect (futile on initial intent, but got quite good at soldering diodes!)
- Shadowed a neurosurgeon, first OR experience at 16 on a posterior lumbar discetomy
- Surfed 4 mornings a week year round (shoutout surf team!)
- Made lots of model airplanes and tinkered with Raspberry Pi
